Canoe Float on Big Pine Creek

From the running waters of Big Pine Creek in Warren County (near Carbondale, Indiana…between Lafayette and the Illinois border), experience great views of native pine riparian forests, sandstone bluffs, and scenic canyons on a 5-mile canoe float hosted by the Indiana Forest Alliance. Great for beginners. Float guided by IFA Conservation Director (and Wabash Riverkeeper) Rae Schnapp.

Float: Saturday, June 23, 1 p.m. -4 p.m.  CANOES & KAYAKS for rent. Reserve below (float is free if you bring your own canoe). Travel back to your vehicle is provided, after the float.

Post-float cook-out: 4 – 6 p.m. (suggested donation per person: $10; RSVP required)

Want to stay overnight? Housing and campsites available on a restored prairie site nearby (details and costs available upon request).

The float itself is free, but RSVP (BELOW) is required. Indicate with the form below if you need to rent a canoe or kayak, will be joining the meal, or need info about staying overnight. Specific location information and a map will be provided to all who register. Join us for a great trek!
