MemberFest 2023 is in just two days! Have you purchased your tickets yet?

Here is the full itinerary for this weekend’s events:

Friday, Sept. 29:

1:30 p.m. “Sea Change” climate art viewing at BackSpace Gallery (112 W 6th St) in Bloomington exclusively for Foraged-Forest Feast ticket-holders

4 p.m. Annual member meeting at the Pictura Gallery in the FAR Arts Center (202 S Rogers St.)

6 p.m. – Forest-Foraged Feast, at the 505 Theatre in the FAR Arts Center, (505 W 4th St) a one-of-a-kind dining experience of items foraged from Indiana forests, along with other locally sourced organic items, prepared by Chef Eric Bueno of Feast Market and Cellar featuring guest speaker State Sen. Shelli Yoder

Sat. Sept. 30

9 a.m. – Continental breakfast and discussion at the Story Inn (6404 IN-135, Nashville, IN 47448) in Brown County with US Senator Mike Braun who will speak about his federal legislation to establish the largest area of protected wild forest in the history of Indiana.

10:30 a.m. Hike up Browning Mountain within the expanded Deam Wilderness and auto tour of the proposed Benjamin Harrison National Recreation Area, to be established by Sen. Braun’s legislation. (While tickets are required for the breakfast and auto tour, the hike is open to the public.)

 

At the member meeting, members will vote to fill vacancies on the IFA board, recognize the leadership of three individuals and adopt a  2024 Action Plan. Members are encouraged to review this draft plan before the meeting.
