outreach1) Become an outreach volunteer
. Help the Indiana Forest Alliance at festivals throughout Indiana. You and an IFA staff member will be educating people about the significant increase in logging in our state forests while collecting signatures for our State Wild Areas petition. View upcoming volunteer opportunities.

2) Advocate for your state forests. Help create a record of public dissent regarding the unprecedented increase in commercial logging in Indiana’s state forests. From the comfort of your own home you can comment on IDNR’S Division of Forestry plans. These plans, or Draft Resource Management Guides, are legally required prior to logging in our forests.

Join us on Facebook and Twitter. Spread our message to your networks. Engaging with us on social media helps keep the message of forest protection and preservation at the forefront of public concern. View IFA’s State Wild Areas position statement for talking points.

event4) Host an Indiana Forest Alliance event. With logistical support from IFA, organize an event to raise awareness about the importance of (y)our public forests. This could take the form of a letter writing party, a bake sale, a square dance, a gathering featuring an IFA speaker, or a 5K walk.
