OFFICE  & PHONE BANK (IFA Office, Indianapolis) – Count and enter petition signatures. Help us reach forest supporters by phone and and ask them to contact their legislators to support an important pro-forest bill in the Indiana General Assembly. Times are flexible, weekday afternoon and evening shifts available anytime between 2 and 8 p.m. Contact IFA staff to schedule your shift.

FESTIVAL OUTREACH (statewide) – Throughout the year, IFA will table at events and festivals all over the state and circulate our petition to set aside wilderness areas in our state forests from logging. Generally volunteers will help for three-hour shifts and help set up and take down the table. If you are aware of or organizing a local event or festival and would like IFA to be there, please let us know!

GRASSROOTS VOLUNTEERS (Local) – Six coalitions throughout the state seek volunteers to do forest advocacy on a local level: Mind the Gap and Wild Tecumseh Friends (Yellowwood and Morgan-Monroe Forests), Owen-Putnam Friends of the ForestFriends of Salamonie (Salamonie River and Frances Slocum Forests), Friends of Leota (Knobstone) Wild Area (Clark and Jackson-Washington Forests), and Friends of Ferdinand (Ferdinand and Harrison-Crawford Forests).  If you have a special place in your heart for your local state forest, please join one of these coalitions and meet great people who feel the same.  They are looking for folks to help organize meetings, events, actions, fundraisers, hikes, campfires and camp outs, social media, and bring creative ideas to raise awareness in local communities. Whatever time, skill, or interest you bring will be welcome!

If you can help in any of these areas, please contact IFA staff.
