Candlelight Vigil for the Crown Hill Forest

Late yesterday (1/13/17) Jane Magnus-Stinson, Chief Judge of the U.S. District for the Southern District of Indiana, denied the request from the Indiana Forest Alliance and plaintiffs to halt the VA’s columbaria project at Crown Hill Cemetery’s North Woods.
Monday, January 16, 2017 may be your last chance to see this forest. Join us at 4:00 p.m. for a candlelight vigil. Come with candles or flashlights, friends, and share what this forest means to you. This is our time to honor the Crown Hill North Woods before its untimely and unfathomable destruction.
GETTING TO THE EVENT: Enter at the Clarendon Road entrance to Crown Hill Cemetery. That entrance gate is on Clarendon between 42nd St. & 38th St.
We will assemble at the entrance to the North Woods which is in the NW corner. Drive through the parking lot and wind around to the woods at the NW corner of the property.
Dress for muddy conditions (i.e. boots, rain gear, etc.)
We are seeking volunteer videographers or photographers.
